Why is my website getting visitors but no enquiries?
Most visitors decide in a few seconds, on a phone. If they cannot immediately see that you do the job they need, in their area, and how to contact you, they go back and pick the next result. The fix is usually clarity and friction, not a new design.
Why isn’t my business showing on Google?
Usually one of four things: your Google Business Profile is missing, unverified or suspended; it is listed under the wrong category; your website gives Google too little to work with; or you are searching from a spot where competitors are closer. - Do I pay anything for the preview?
- No. The preview is free and there is no obligation to go ahead.
- Do I need my own domain name?
- If you have one, we connect it. If not, we can help you choose and register one in your business’s name.
- What happens after the first year?
- Hosting is included for 12 months. After that it’s £49 a year, or you can join the care plan (£19 a month), which includes hosting. The website and domain remain yours.
- Will it work on phones?
- It is designed for phones first, because that is where most local customers will see it.
- Can I pay monthly instead?
- Yes. Instead of £199 up front, pay £29 a month, which also includes the care plan: hosting, small changes, Google profile posts and review requests. Minimum 12 months, then it drops to £19 a month or you can cancel, and the website is yours.
- What is the care plan?
- An optional £19 a month after launch, with no minimum term: hosting, small changes, new job photos added, regular Google profile posts and review requests to your customers. Cancel with 30 days’ notice.
- Do you set up my Google profile?
- Yes. Setting up or tidying your Google Business Profile is included with the website. Google asks the owner to verify it, usually by a short video or a code, and we walk you through that.
- Who owns the website?
- Your business name, photos, logo and words are always yours, and your domain is registered in your business’s name. The website design is yours once it is paid for. The details are in our terms.
- Who can see my preview?
- Only people you share the link with. Previews are clearly marked as previews, hidden from search engines, and taken down whenever you ask.
- How do I pay?
- By bank payment or Direct Debit through GoCardless, after you have approved your preview. It shows on your statement as Softgenix LTD, the company behind Groportune.
